Q – Where do we park?
A – While our historic hotel was built without its own on-site parking lot, there are both paid public parking lots and free street parking options available in our neighborhood. Keep in mind that the parking lots typically do not accept large vehicles (vans, trucks, SUVs) and that as a popular beach community, parking on warm weather weekends and holidays can be a challenge.
Q – Does your hotel have rooms with two beds?
A – The majority of our 24 guestrooms are Queen Studios with only one queen bed in each. However, our Ocean Front Studio Suites have one queen bed and one full-sized sleeper sofa. If you are traveling with children, please let us know in that we have rollaway beds and cribs available upon request.
Q – Is your hotel on the beach?
A – Yes!
Q: Do your rooms have air-conditioning?
A: Our guest-rooms have ceiling fans and screened windows (for enjoying the beach breeze…) but they do not have A/C.
Q: Does your hotel accept pets?
A: We welcome certified service animals,but we do not accept house pets.
Q: Can I check-in before 3pm or check-out after 11am?
A: While we cannot guarantee that a guest can check in before 3pm, we are happy to offer luggage storage if you arrive early and will contact you when the first available room is ready. We do our best to accommodate late check outs but also offer luggage storage after check-out for guests with later flights or if folks just want to linger longer in Venice Beach!
Q: Does your hotel have a roof-deck?
A: It does! We finished our crowning achievement, a roof-deck that we call “V”, in July of 2015 and our guests have been loving it! V offers chaise-lounges, shade umbrellas, conversation tables, an evening fire pit and epic beach & city views.
Q: Is Venice safe?
A: Venice is weird but safe. It has always been a strange and unusual beach town where things like graffiti and people smoking pot in public are normal.
Q: Is your hotel affiliated with any other properties in Venice?
A: Our hotel is an independent, family-owned historic hotel that is not affiliated with any other properties in the area.
Q: Does your hotel have an elevator?
A: It does! We have an old-fashioned door-and-gate style lift named “Betsy” that is as old as the hotel itself,and she still works great! Riding Betsy is part of the adventure staying with us!
